I like the idea of a refocus of our lives onto more intentional ways of being church. I do get a little nervous when I hear about programs that aim to recapture the tropes of the early church, partly because what we know about that lifestyle is so caught up in the tension between our understandings of our own culture and one from 2000 years ago that is, in large part, quite alien to us now. But sharing stuff? Eating together> We can all do that.

Having said that the Distributed Church program is a nine week feast and as such is bite sized enough for most churches to give it a go.
