Welcome Fiona Hammond to the formedfaith office!
There's no doubt the work of encouraging the faith growth of everyone in the diocese is important. A measure of this is that some funding has been located to enable us to get more done!
Fiona Hammond has been employed for three days a week to boost some of the projects bubbling along at www.formedfaith.org. With Jonathan Sargeant, she'll be enabling the growth of The 360 Project, working on new materials for admission to communion and confirmation and developing some online training material about the Anglican faith that will be useful to our Anglican schools, parishes and agencies. With Stephen Harrison from the Schools Office in the mix as well, each of these projects is a team affair so you may hear from Jonathan or Fiona soon for your advice!
Fiona, introduce yourself to us...
"In everything from teaching, to camp fire ukulele strumming, I am deeply interested in equipping people to be their most magnificent best. I’ve been a high school English/History/Religious Education teacher, a youth minister and over the last few years I’ve spent my time writing curriculum resources to help teachers stay engaged and passionate about their work. I’ve created material for The Anglican Schools Commission, Education Queensland and Cricket Australia (to name a few!). Joining the FormedFaith team with its mission to equip lay ministry is such an exciting move! And I get to work with some pretty cool, creative people too! Total bonus."
