Mission to a messy world

February 12, 2020

Fiona Hammond

The season of Lent has a very clear direction. It leads us to the cross, and in the great Festival of Easter, takes us through death into the joy of the Resurrection.

Good so far, but once we arrive on the other side of death, where do we go? Jesus said “go out into the world to make disciples” but how? Which direction? With whom? For how long? Are we there yet?

ABM (Australian Board of Missions) 2020 Lenten Study resource tackles some of these questions with a new look at the Acts of the Apostles, and discovers that “mission to a messy and broken world will always
be a messy and broken mission” but there are moments that are productive, wonderful and glorious.

This beautifully presented study series has a clear structure for each session, involving reading, reflecting, questioning and includes suggestions for music. Suitable for individual or group use, this is another total winner from ABM for 2020!
