Dr Hugh Kempster is an Anglican priest in an inner city Melbourne parish.
Both of these sentences are true!
It was the presence of Dr Martin Seligman that first caught my eye, I have to admit. He's been a person of interest to me since his book The Optimistic Child first became something of a sensation way back in 1995. That book, which focuses on the need for resilience in children and outlines strategies to achieve such, was eye opening.
But Hugh's appearance brings to an end a nice round up of issues involved in what it means to be called to something and how that call might happen. Since one of my favourite thingsabout EFM (Education for Ministry) is how it also focuses people on their own ministries, this article is a good one for reflection. Is your cell group/biblestudy group/whatever you might call it able to use such pieces? I recommend it!
