Something about us as humans means it's easier to have compassion for those who are like us. And, correspondingly, it's harder to care about those who are different. Because Jesus calls us to rise above that 'tribal nature', resources which help to do that are super useful!
Second a day is a video which humanises the plight of refugees and those in war-torn situations in a way that cuts straight to the point. At only 90 seconds long, it's worth using in small group situations, school classrooms or as a part of a sermon.
A warning though: it is emotionally confronting. But maybe that's what we sometimes need to move us. Have a look and decide for your self.
