Linking to a book review is a curious thing to do but I find that author Tony Jones has done a good job of summarising the contents of Packard and Hope's Church Refugees, a book that studies the reasons people have left churches.
He does it in such a way that can have you reflecting on your own situation. Of course, the book is American as is the reviewer. And he notes that the text is written by evangelicals for evangelicals. I've found that no matter where one sits on the theological spectrum, what Jones says in his review hits home.
So have a look; it'll only take five minutes to read but your pondering on the contents of this review will undoubtedly last for a while longer. The questions it poses are worth it.
